Title: sump drain valve

  Whats the opinion of these things?  Has anyone got one fitted?
 Do they hang down too low?
  Last question..IIRC I need a 14mm size thread??
                    If not a good idea I think Ill use the PELA 6000

What's so difficult about removing the normal drain plug?

 nothing wrong with doing it the old fashioned way :smiley: if you have the tools/lift.  Just wanting to make life easy

My car is reasonably low yet if I drive onto a brick I'm able to get my hands underneath and undo the plug....No need for lift or anything.

Just strict to what it left the factory with, not sure how good these are and how reliable they?

I had one on a past car, the valve was at the top, great idea to be honest.

Not sure on how it will fit on some cars, the sump plug is low enough as it is on a MK1 and  I would worry about catching it on something, however, neat idea as it does prevent a couple of things, the need to replace washer so often and dropping the plug in the oil pan and then having to find it again.
