I gave my car a quick wash down earlier using Car Plan Triplewax shampoo, however before i'd finished the roof I noticed that there were hundreds of tiny 'bubbles' all over the area that I had washed!
I have tried everything that I have to try and remove them with no joy at all, I tried various cutting compounds, a clay bar, megs polish, even small amount of cellulose thinners, white spirit and T-cut :lipsrsealed:
I tried taking a picture of the area, but my camera isn't good enough to pick them up
If you rub the 'bubbles' with a finger nail they appear lighter and spread around a little but don't disappear - does anyone have any idea what could have caused them, what they are and how I can remove them?
Someone has suggested to me that they are little spots of silicone from the Shampoo, is this likely?
Cheers in advance

are these bubbles in or underneath the clearcote or ontop?

Looks like they are underneath!

sounds like your clearcotes failed and lifted away from the paint(beggining stages of anyway)
the cause could be a number of things: bad application, bad prep,a stone chip/chip that has allowed moisture and contaminents to creep in through the hole slowely seperating the clearcote from the paint.
take it to a reputable body shop so they can have a look at it for you and go from there.

Cheers, my mate works in a decent body shop so i'll get it booked in for them to take a look when they re-open in the new year. Is there anything I can do in the meantime to prevent it from getting any worse?
Carplan
I know, it's my own fault
Car covered in salt + hangover + cold = me grabbing the easiest thing out of the garage :embarassed:

unfortunatly not mate the damage has already been done, if you put something over the top to stop things getting in you will only seal in whats already there.

i have exactly the same problem all over my car, couldnt a machine polisher do anything?

Say it was on top of the clearcoat what would it be? I've been out to look at it again this morning and the marks have gotten considerably smaller, some aren't even there any more :undecided:

best way i would describe it as is millions of extremely small maybe the size of a pin hole (well, the hole you put thread through lol), they are underneath the clearcoat, but when you rub the paint you cant feel them, and yes as dom said they do disapear for a second or two after you press them, i have tried to get a pohoto but they are just so small my camera cant pick em up, i really hope a machine polish will sort them out :/
