PCD is wrong, so would need adaptors.....good luck getting them to fit, what size is the smallest jag wheel?  :undecided:

Do you know what the ofset is?
Title: Re: Jaguar wheels ???
Post by: Adamdubz on 29 December 2010, 01:15
the pcd is 5x120.6
offset is 33

Post by: Peej1981 on 29 December 2010, 01:19
Well lets put it this way, you will have to do some serious modding to the wheels to get them to fit the pcd for the mk2 is 4x100, the offset is 35 to 38 and the bore is 57.1.

Is it that type of style wheel you are after? As they look a bit like porch D90's

Offset aside, it could be done, Jaguar use the same PCD as Chevrolet, any Ive seen quite a few VWs running Corvette C4/C5 wheels... Either 5 stud PCD is the same, or, adaptors are available...

well like i said the porch d90's are just like those wheels, this is a set for sale on ebay at the mo http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PORSCHE-928-S-ALLOY-WHEELS-D90-911-TURBO-/160524243463?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item255ffd9207

Plus they look awsome on the mk2, there is a wide range of alloys that look good for mk2's just type these onto ebay and also type it in google and look under images. Borbet, bbs and ats

I got myself a set of ats cups for £160 off ebay, which i think look awsome on the mk2

Yeah they are the D90's, very nice wheel and look fat on the mk2. Thats a fare price for them too, they look in good condition, wont cost much at all to have the lips polished. Think the thing i really like is the fact that they are the 7.5" front and 8" rear, you tend to find a lot of them for sale that are the same width all round.
I would try and nock a bit off the price bet they would let them go for 400  then next issue you will have is what tyres to put on them? Do you want some stretch for euro look or good tyres for performance?
Title: Re: Jaguar wheels ???
Post by: Adamdubz on 29 December 2010, 02:09
its all about stretch "low and slow" for me, why would you want to go fast in such a nice car so people will miss it  ?? tho i do think a 2.0 turbo dropped in it would be nice :) and i duno what tyres yet i dont not to much about them

here you go mate try this link out, helped me to decided what i wanted to go for

http://www.tyrestretch.com/index.php

once you have decided then i most likely will be looking to buy them from this link as seems to be the cheapest i have found so far

http://www.mytyres.co.uk/start.html

You are true with the fact about why you would want to be going fast but then again i am running a G60 engine in mine just for those days when you have a silly chav who thinks he is all it

This is true.

plus a turbo sounds soo nice lol

thanks for the help btw really appreciate it

True the turbo does sound nice and i have owed a few cars in my time with a turbo and this is the first time i have owned a car with a supercharger and omg it sounds sooooo good, cant really beat the noise off a supercharger when you put your foot down but then again the noise off a nice turbo with a dump valve does sound good.
Maybe that should be another thread you should set up, what sounds better turbo or supercharger
Title: Re: Jaguar wheels ???
Post by: Adamdubz on 29 December 2010, 02:34
dump valves do sound so sick ok hear is one for you what is more fuel friendly turbo or supercharger because of the stupid fuel prices?? :)

Mmm that's is difficult to say as it really depends on the way you drive the car. I really don't know on this one, I would say that they are both pritty close, I should be getting about 35 to 40mpg on a good run and I would expext the same from a turbo but like I said its how you drive it.

See another thread here too

Thats the problem is that you can find the wheels at a good price but then the adaptors dent your wallet seriously

I am strangely loving and hating that splitter at the same time :(
Im so confused emotionally about it :D
Think the black adds to the moodyness of Icy's car!

What is the splitter off? Those wheels do look sick but how much did it cost him to have adaptors made for them to fit????

Love the car though

Foooodge, there was a guy on here that used to make a few for Brad!
Not sure what Kells is calling himself now (Maybe Techno?)
Ask him, he'll direct you to a guy that makes em, Don't think the price is too steep either :afro:

I was quoted 250 for a set of 4 custom adapters. That was 4x100 to 5x110 so there would have been some overlap. I think a fair bit of that cost is due to engineering a solution to the overlap issue.

My pal ben does adaptors, (BenVictors)  they are superb quality

as for jag rims, Icy was not the first, been done a few times.. im not big on jag rims, a lad had a set on a green mk 3 which were polished with orange inserts, cant remember his name... sure he did his mirror covers orange too and sh!t like that...

Lewis £250 is a top price, as long as the quality is their
