Title: Clutch or pedal? Plz help

Changing up from 1st to 2nd gear, my snow sludged boot slipped hard off the clutch pedal and has stayed to the floor... Things seem to be moving under the bonnet when i move it up and down by hand so could it just be the pedal and is it easy to fix? ... Thanx in advance xx

Sounds like maybe the pedal has broken inside?  :undecided:

 It happens on the mk4 a plastic clip breaks off. 

Try the MK3 section for some proper help  :wink:

could just be the return spring. iv just had to replace my clutch pedal on the mk4  :angry:

Fixed the problem... It was the return lever inside the gearbox... As i was facing a heavy labour bill had a new clutch put in too... Has been amazing to drive this last week, just ticked over to 188k today still luvvin it!
