Yeah I get it all the time. Sometimes it works fine the other times it takes ages to open a page or opens without all the page completed.
Its the only site I have problems with and I already asked in here but was told it was just me despite seeing other folks having problems!!

It's a busy site, sometimes it may not be able to return all requests successfully. Hopefully it's not too much of an issue at the moment :)

It not even close to the loading problems of other forums :lipsrsealed:

It’s a strange one, I get the border with the GolfGTI and the advert at the top but the rest of the page does not load, at the bottom of the page it says done so everything that is going to load has loaded. :undecided:
P.S Please don’t take as a criticism was just intrigued to find out why.
-
I get it often, but if you just refresh its all normally fine.
-
I get the same prob......cant explain why...??? maybe just one of those things that happen from time to time..

The simple answer to 'why?' is that the site is very busy. As the content is database driven, that has to be requested and returned to each user. At times there may be too many for the server to handle so some get dropped or you get a partial response.
Some stats to spice up this dull subject:
December 2010 - 3.7m
December 2009 - 1.9m
December 2008 - 1.7m
December 2007 - 0.87m
December 2006 - 0.65m
December 2005 - 0.42m
December 2004 - 0.2m
Those are the number of pages the site has returned for the month of December each year.

That's a lot of busy hammies.
