Title: Five stud mk2 axle?

Alrite , just wondering about few things to do with converting to five stud , i know about the front end ,

just the rear axle  what is it i need ? i've got mk2 16v , can i just use 5stud discs? the stub axles are spaced out so weather the mk3 axle is ( considered wider) i'd have that with the spacer's im running .

Its just i cant really afford to get another axle coz i've painted and refurbed the lot , dont fancy doing it to another one

just change the discs for MK3 GTI ones, job done :)
