hi could any one help me i have just got hold of a mk1 golf cabrio 18gti but it will not run there is a spark and the petrol pump is working but i dont think the petrol is getting to the spark plugs have you guys any ideas cheers :sad:

Pop a injector out and place in a glass jar, remove the coil lead and crank a couple of times and see if fuel is being delivered

hi m8 i have done that and there is petrol coming out of the 2 that go below the spark plugs but the ones that go at the back of the head dont have any coming out do the mk1s have a crank sensor

i think the engine is out of a mk2 and its 1.8 8v

is the under car pump working, the sound you're hearing could be the in-tank pump

i've just replied to y our other post RE: the mk3 engine... here you say mk2...

hi thanks for that m8 it looks similer my air housing is on the other side of the engine im pretty sure it is a k jet engine
i have tryed to put a photo on but i it will not let me but im on works computer at mo so i dont no if it has restrictions on it
