Title: MFA Stalk

I was a bit brutal with the poor thing and it snapped!  :undecided: How easy is it to replace? Even better can it be replaced for a mk3 stalk? Is this a tough job?

90 spec mk2's can take mk3 stalks without mods apart to the plastic surround as the mk3's hazard button is bigger.

the replace it remove the steering wheel (nut in the middle), then there are 3 screws to remove the stalks.

If you want new, the MFA one is about ?20 -?25 depending on where you get it from.

I'm trying to remember if I've got a set of mk2 stalks in my mum's garage gathering dust or I sold them when I put the mk3 ones on  :undecided:

My hazard is on the dash. Do you think i could just chop it off the mk3 stalks?

you'll need to change the alloy ignition switch mount that clamps round the column and swap it for a 90 spec or mk3 one. I did this to mine. then you can attach the mk3 stalks fine. as for the plugs they're all different and will require you to chop off and solder on the mk3 ones. this took me about an hour lol. your hazard will work from the mk3 stalks then, but only when the ignition is one. I'm looking into why that is lol

If you have the MKII ones I would be interested as my MFA has broken and the ones going on eBay are well expensive when the auction ends!

I'll have a look then when I'm up at my mum's next. dunno when that'll be though.

Mk2GTI2.016v, your's is a H reg so surely the hazard switch is on the steering column, not the dash? The mk3 stalks should be a straight swap then?
