New to site :) go dub or go home! I own a 3Dr mk3 had it 4yrs I've smoothed it out over the years :) an changed colour t black Will put a thread on when i can only got my phone as access :(

Oh an i bounced of a wall last week resulting in some slight front end modifications so back to bodywork next year lol :)

Lol you spoke too soon :) my mate's gonna help me put a build thread together so i can catch you up on project so far hopefully one day/year it will be finished lol think built on peanuts is a more appropriate but done all the work myself which has made it possible :-)

Update lol well was still driving round in golf battle scar an all until one day went around corner and headlight lense departed from car lol. Now apparently due to me having ( or had ) the mk4 look alikes can still drive legally but if bulbs get wet they'll blow lol making it illegal again! :) ya gonna luv this bit lol. Had to resort to pinching my mam's F reg 1l automatic micra now being 6foot2 this looks ridiculous lol so kids gone Friday so off to scrap yard for standard pair for now :)happy New year people

Recent exploits :) i bought pair of gti headlights of e.bay 40quid delivered. But as usual I'm not that lucky when they arrived every reflector mount was broken. F,ing cu.ts! So while enjoying a smoke i came up with the plan lol i did my mad scientist bit stripped all the lights apart and put the reflectors from the mk4 style lights into the mk3 outer and have successfully mated the pair :) they have a stock but not look lol not a bad end to the day :) next a bit of panel beating

Aint done anything lately but mot due 20th next month :( shopping list includes rear beam bush's, timing belt crank and cam seals sump and clutch {seen as i have to remove gearbox to change sump might aswell} on a brighter note gave my mate some pics to put on here for me so hopefully should be on in next couple of days :)

Try starting a thread in the Dub Rides section for all the work/mods you do to the car, more people will see it there. And remember, everyone loves pictures :grin:

Thanks for the welcome Dom. Had the project for long time now unfortunately lost alot of the pics of the early body work due to a memory card malfunction :( got a few in primer before i sprayed it :) will be on soon! Will sort a thread eventually lol taking lots of pics of recent work to put on.

Well finally pulled my finger out of arse an did some work on car dropped drivers poor wheel at garage for slow puncture to be fixed then ripped front bumper and lights out so i can get wing off to beat back into shape so can fit both headlights back in car properly had to stop when school finished so could pick up kids so if weather good tomorrow will carry on :-) Heres hoping

Productive day pulled wing off straightened it out and the inner wing and bumper mount lol got it all back together lights and grill back on rattle canned the damage just need to grab a bumper from scrap yard over the weekend :-) also the stop i ordered yesterday turned up this morning! Good times

Got a bumper yesterday and fitted it thats the front of the car all back together for now lol. Tires came today just waiting on clutch an rear beam bush's to arrive :) really looking forward to driving it again

Thanks not been on in a while cars back off road waiting on garage space to do work for mot still not managed to post picks sorry. Due to body work being done i thought it was time for a colour change lol i got bored with polishing it when it was black anyway so over last few weeks its now been painted Nato :)
