Hi
Noticed a leak springing from the higher up of two sensors or switches on the front of the engine (see pics)
Anyone care to tell me what this actually is? the Haynes manual was useless as expected....
Its not a huge leak, but a concern all the same. The rubber boot was pushed up as if by pressure from inside, revealing the blue plastic sensor beneath. Pretty certain the oils coming from out through the middle rather than out through the threads.

cheers. was hoping it was an easy fix

I had to change two of mine lol - There are like 4 oil pressure switches on my mk3 or something haa. They are coloured too if that helps, I changed the black and the blue one - Got different pressure levels on the or something so youd be better of unscrewing them and taking the thing to gsf if you got one local, cheap as chips!!

yeah i noticed there are two right next to each other (second pic)
its the blue one thats leaking anyway, all the lower half of the engine is destroyed with oil it'l be a miserable cleaning job in this cold

Ahh yeah the bottom of my engine bay is covered in the stuff - Dirty job aiii
Guess it helps prevent rust :S lol
