Title: vw bora clutch issue

hiya just after some helpful advice ive got a bora tdi pd130 6 speed and the issue is.... its slipping  :cry:

just wondered if theres any alterations i can use like the 20v's run the vr6/g60 arrangement..

is there something else i could possibly use??

Sadly not

If you want to upgrade you either get a single mass flywheel and suitable clutch and some extra strong denture glue or you bite the bullet and get a Sachs Organic clutch which is good enough for around 400lbs ft torque

It isn't cheap.  I think the clutch kit alone is now well north of £550!!  :cry: :cry:

Personally, if you're not remapping your engine to a ridiculous amount f power and torque you're better off getting the same replacement parts. Whilst tackling the clutch you may as well replace the flywheel too as there's no point dismantling the clutch/flywheel assembly again when the flywheel does fobber up.

Whatever you do, don't get the single mass flywheel! You'll regret it on a TDI. Period!

i was hoping someone wouldnt say that :(

oh well looks like ill be forking out £1200 that includes the flywheel aswell..... possibility i might get it a little cheaper through my good friends at jabba... im not going silly power on the car want it to be around 210-220bhp mark so want a decent clutch anyway :)

ha ha ha you will never beat my mk4  :tongue: that'l teach ya for stripping your golf.......the clutch was fine in that  :wink: :grin:
