Title: new addict from nottingham

Hi all
Just bought my first golf gti r reg it was registered in march 1988 does this make it a mrk 3 or 4.
to say it is a old car it still drives great,and i am looking forward to many happy days driving it.

Welcome and just seen that your not too far away from us Dubs in Lincolnshire, just though i would see if you would be up for this but i am holding the next Lincolnshire (Bomber County Dubs) meet in Lincoln in Jan if you are up for it? Just thought that Nottingham is about an hour away from Lincoln  :grin:

sorry i posted earlier that my golf was a 1988 sorry it is a 1998 that makes it a mark 3 doesnt it .
also i have got to replace the glass in the passenger side window, the glass smashed and i have got a replacement one, i have got limited experiance doing this kind of job  will i be alright doing it myself.

its a simple job mate you should have no problem just take care not to snap clips when removing door cards but the window is just held in with 2bolts :)
