in these cold conditions does any1 else car take ageeessss to warm up to correct temperature? i can leave it running for 20mins n its stone cold still, no warm air coming out to de-mist the car or anything, i drove it 10mins today n it was still on the 0degrees reading on the dash....is it just really really cold weather at the moment?

How about covering up the center grills with cardboard.

Diesels tend to be slower to warm up.

I aint had my golf long, but it takes bloody ages too get some warm air too start flowing out of those damn vents lol!!!
-
Takes mine 5mins of normal driving before I get some warmth from the vents.
-
mine takes a while to get warm but the temp gauge goes all over the place from cold to fully warm all of a sudden so i presume ive got a dodgy sensor but i dont know which one or how to sort yet

Thermostat and coolant temperature sensors are the two likely culprits
Get them changed and some fresh coolant put in :afro:

Mines started warming up after 5mins now, miles quicker than it use to be. Iv had brand new anti freeze in and it's like 15degrees warmer aswell which helps!
