Title: DESPERATE HELP NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Post by: new here on 15 February 2005, 00:32
Hello all,as you can tell im brand new here.I'll cut a long story short...and any help would be truely greatful!!

Ive just sold my 2000 bmw 328 ci with full m tech kit and leathers ,sat nav,tv,the works because it was soo juicy on the petrol costing me up to ?80 a week.
A friend of my wife has a 2000 golf gti turbo with 23k miles on and grey leathers with 3 headrests and a blaupunkt stereo in there(looks very nice).
Now this might sound crazy but ive just bought it but cant pick it up for a week.
What i wanted to know was is there anyway of telling by looking at the car wether this is the 150bhp or the 187bhp model  (i know its a 1.8 turbo).

PLEASE HELP ????????????????????????????????????????

Definitely the 150bhp model, the 180 wasn't introduced until i think 2003.

Define quick!!

They're not stupid quick, but can certainly hold their own against the motorway-jockies in their Vectras and Mun-dane-o's.

The thing to remember is, a 200bhp remap is less than a monkey away, and then my friend, you will be pretty quick indeed.

Speak to Toph, he is remap guru, and knows just about every tuner personally after some pretty intensive fiddling with his Mk4.
