Title: Rear inner bulb rating
Post by: DaveN on 15 December 2010, 21:34
Does anyone know what rating the inner rear light bulb should be, the tail light, the outer brake light is 21W.

I blew a bulb and had it replaced but have been "flashed" twice by annoyed drivers saying "turn your fcuking fog light off"

On my car the two inner lights are much brighter then the outside bulbs and its driving me mental. I looked in the manual and I cannot see anything regarding rating of bulbs.

Help before some road rage nutter rams me off the road.

Figured it out and learned a lesson

Dont mess with VAG-COM without checking what their effect is , I had accidentally changed the Central-Electrical module setting which had set the inner light to max output and the outer to zero. So with the lights on only a half of the circle was lit and the other half only lit when the brake was applied.

Corrected both to 20% dimming and now have nice circles back that increase in intensity when the brake is applied.
