hi guys been looking more closely at my suspension this weekend and i have realised that someware down the line previous owners have put lowering springs on Standard shocks ,springs looks like 40mm im guessing.
Now i notice grip to the wheels ant to good, that could be cheap tyres though, also i find car feels like its jumping when going over bumps, which if i remember correct my old golf on lowering springs and uprated shocks didnt do,
could this be dangerious if i dont change or will it be ok?

As long as the correct springs and top mounts have been used then it's fine. Lowering springs on standard shocks is a popular thing really and the only setback really is that the shocks lifespan will be lower. As for the tyres I would make this a priority to check out really Mate :cool:

Drop of 40mm on standard shocks it ok, most would say up to 60 on standard is ok.

i have no indication in car history then lowering was done so not sure how long springs have been on car for, The car has done 137 thousand and no indication of shocks being changed so they could poss be in need of a change, i might look for some coilovers after xmas, tyres have loads of thread but i there not a make i heard of befor so i guess there budget tyres.

At that age you should be changing the dampers whatever the ride height.
Make sure the alignment is correct and the pressures in the tyres are correct.
Are they Woosung Dark Horse tyres?
