Title: Code 17840 -N112 interruption
Post by: alexd on 12 December 2010, 20:37
Hi all got my mate to scan my 1.8t yesterday and it flashed up with needing possibly a MAF, but also came up with this code

17840 secondary air injecting valve -N112 interruption

Now ive had a search but can't seem to find much info about fixing it, any one had this before?? Any info to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated

From what I've read the N112 valve is part of the secondary air system which helps to quickly warm up the catalytic converter from a cold start. Either the valve has failed or the connector is disconnected/corroded, try reseating it and/or contact cleaner
