currently i have a mk3 golf gti but at work today i was speaking to the yard bloke about his golf mk4 v5 he had sat there. after a bit of talking about me wonting a mk4 he turned around and said make me a offer. it got full vw service history , w reg, 5 door, silver tax and tested. he about 60 so he hasnt been racing it and it has only got 91 on the clock body work is mint and so is interior and he said he will take mine px as he only needs a car for work. what to do !!!! and the price he said was 1800 ono  :undecided:

V5 is a pretty poor engine imo. Not very good MPG for very bland and average performance. If I was to get a MK4 I wouldn't even bother looking at a V5.

Just my opinion.

1800 is average price too, but youd be dissapointed in it.

v5 is a great engine, but not in a mk4, better suited to motorbikes
