Title: random misfire??

hi all , my gti has developed a random mis fire, it only happens evey now and then and it is usually when im below the turbo in second or third, dont have access to a vag com and was looking for advice where to start. i know it is prob either the maf a coil pack or ignition module but was wondering if anyone had had similar and what it was. is a 99 agu engine, cheers.

Hard to say without code. Code readers are around £20 on Ebay and well worth it....

it hardly does this at all just evey now and then it will do it, if you lift off the throttle then put it back down again it goes and drives fine could be a day or two before it does it again.
