:shocked:blown bulb gone horribly wrong? :undecided:
wouldn'd you have to get new clocks coded to the car?
-
im tryin to find out if i shud b able to start the car without clocks cz it wont start, i dnt have any new clocks yet, so the clocks need coding ?? if so how much is this?
-
im not sure they have to be coded, but i wanted to upgrade mine to one with a screen, as mine doesnt have, and its more hassle than its worth in my opinion, something about immo2 and immo3 clocks. i think i left it as i read somewhere that coz i have the immo2 clocks if i put immo3 ones in (screen) they would need coding to the car. Dont quote me though as im not 100%. Unsure of price...
-
Ive just stopped laughing that your mk4 went so fast the clocks set alight... any ways.. if you replace the clock they must be coded to work.. the immob is built into the clocks on the mk4 so if you put new clocks in not coded the car will start for about 5 seconds and then cut out.. most decent places dont charge a few quid to code the new ones in.. find out if someone close ??
-
The imobilzer is part of the clcks.
Without them it wont start, If yoou put new clocks in they will need coding to the car
-
cheers guys, bu sorry i wasnt goin that fast that the clock wud catch fire i neva said tha, i was slowing down to about 30 from a 60 when the dash started to flash then the smoke, bu the coding thing answers a few questons and yes the car will start for a few seconds then die :-( some one told me only vw can do the codeing???
