Was advised last service that I will need Plenum chamber cleaned, how important is this and what is the likely cost? Golf Gti MKV 2007 with 21k
-
Er... why would need the plenum chamber cleaned? That's what the air filter is for...
Are you sure, the garage/dealer is not trying to have you on?
-
what the hell you got in there? mines just got leaves and bugs in it, easy to clean out just blow it out with an air hose
-
thanks, sounds like something that should be done when it gets a full service next week, if they claim its extra i'll do it myself.
-
The plenum chamber shouldn't have anything in it.
The air box is a different matter, however, it is just a case of removing the bottom part of the airbox and cleaning that out.
