 :sad:  iv got more go in a 57 reg berlingo which is 1.9 d than my 1.8 t 1999 reg, it is standerd but that cant be right?? :sad: iv ordered a 007p forge, just feels like there is no turbo at all? i hear psssttt from the dump valve but thats coming off as its not a rec d/v split hose you think? .........

need to get it scanned for faults codes.. could be multiple things.. probably have a boost leak..

To be fair mate, if it's standard you wouldn't wanna race anything off the lights, especially a TDI!  :grin:

its a agu,1.8 t 1999 is that what you mean? i did race one off the light and it whoooped me! :sick: where or how can i find fault codes?

well i thought 1.8t was 150bhp standerd when tdi was 130??

you need to buy a vag U280 code reader off ebay for £22ish.. or take it to a garage and get them to read the codes as i a berlingo beats you off the line standard or not thats something wrong..

berlingo may be 130 but probaby twice the torque you have standard..

It's all about the torque and midrange. 150 bhp is pony and is a peak figure that it touches. 235 is ok but still not as quick as a teg which is far less. Golfs are fat!

interesting,  :huh: il buy one off ebay, and have a look, iv ordered the correct d/v and cai kit, then looking to get remapped after xmas as it drives like dragging a dead body behind it! thanks.

Look into a genuine ko3s and turbo intake pipe and you'll benefit much much more through a remap. The ko3 is weak! Definitly worth the extra £300 mate  :smiley:

no but i mean my golf 2ltr gti felt alot quicker than this, gti 2ltr =115 bhp 1.8 t =150 bhp..... :sad:

I have same 99 1.8T found out few weeks back that I have a split in my standard DV so have been looking at the forge. You have the link of where you got yours from please?

Other question does the Forge make a loud noise or not? Didnt really want a loud noise from it?

No noise if your still running standard airbox and filter.

will make small woosh if running a CAI

With a 007p, CAI and a remap mine was silly loud. If yours is standard boost it won't be as loud.
