i would use an in-tank lift pump to supply it, plus mount a fuel reservoir. it'll make the pump work hard to suck fuel out the tank without one, plus without a reservoir it'll be prone to fuel starvation. an ideal solution would be a k-jet 8v/16v mk2 main pump as its already sat inside a plastic reservoir to prevent fuel starvation, plus std mk2 lifter pump in the tank. another option is to use an aftermarket pump like your link, and also fit a late MK1 cab/scirocco or mk3 polo under car fuel reservoir. steal a fuel filter housing off a mk3 golf, and strap the pump and reservoir to that, bolt to car. still need a lifter pump for this though.
have a look on edition38 at bens (sc0rian) rallye build, has lots of pics showing what I mean. but as above, can just use a std mk2 k-jet pump setup and it'll be able to supply as much fuel as you'll ever need. only reason ben went with inline pump on the rallye was due to clearance issues with his exhaust and the syncro stuffs
