Title: GTD finally purchased
Post by: Alski on 06 December 2010, 22:37
So after first aborted attempt I've finally secured used GTD.

Mar '10
Carbon grey
Leather
Lux pack
Park sensors
Winter pack
1 owner with 7k miles

Deal done with Skoda main stealer (car was p/x vs Yeti in v. Snowy part of UK) at £21k. All I need now is to get Bluetooth and nav fitted. Have emailed Darren a couple times without answer as yet.

If I don't hear I might use OEM retrofits in Bradford who fitted to my A3, although they only seem to do Fiscon bt rather than VW...any advantages or disadvantages either way ?

Audi happily purchased by well known Audi specialist at significantly more than best underwrite the stealers would give. Still a big difference and will be truly sad to see my Sportback go, but to be honest it's feeling bit long in tooth now. Here's looking forward to the GTD!

Have to confess that before deciding on the GTD I had my head seriously turned by Giulietta ex demo which was offered on a great PCP deal - 60 plate 2.0 JTDM Veloce (man) for £19k at about 9%apr with GMFV £9.3k. However as I didn't want to finance (and pay interest on PCP loan I dont need) I wasn't prepared to take personal risk on future value of the Alfa, which meant it had to be GTD.

The Doc, by time I'm finished mine will be almost same as yours as it's DSG too ! Was about to buy more expensive Reflex Silver fully loaded, then stumbled across this Carbon Grey incorrectly advertised as GT 140 on auto trader. Can't quite believe my luck !

Grats on the car Alski.

My parents have a carbon grey car. I wash it for them most weekends. I wanted a colour that was easy to keep clean because of the miles I do so I ordered reflex silver.

I do think the carbon grey looks better. Maybe I should change my order? :undecided:

I have owned white, black, blue, red and silver cars. White and black were the hardest to keep clean. Silver never really looks dirty - it just gets darker.

Sorry Alski

Is your car still at Simpsons?  I sold my old Skoda fabia Vrs to them...excellent company and they gave me more than DM Keiths who I bought it from would give me.

Ill give you a call Sunday and we can sort the fitting out
