Yer should be fine mert. Just had a little poke about cos i have loads of work to do and love to procrastinate and the S3 is for small cars and the s5 from the same line is for big luxury stuff.

IIRC the warranty period and power output is different

S3 is 3 year warranty
S4 is 4 year warranty

ECP used to do the S4 for a Golf for £37.

my mate put an s4 in his Fiesta yesterday, don't know rating but a much smaller battery size wise. The s3 I bought has a 4 year warrenty.

Yeah, there are not universally larger, S3 isn't a size, but a model. There are still different variants of each S3,S4,S5 (type 063 etc.).

If you've got a 4 year warranty, then you're sorted :afro:

At least you didn't buy GSF's own brand battery - I'm on my second one - this one is not even a month old and is not starting the car properly.... So It's going back so I can get a decent Bosch one....

Have you checked your alternator and for a parasitic drain? I got pretty good mileage out of my last GSF battery.

Yep - All Tested & All Good - Just a sh!te Battery...

My Mate Who Supplied it, is a mechanic with his own workshop and has no end of problems with GSF batteries this winter...

My GSF 063 battery has died.  Mind you it did drain after the golf sat idle for 8 months.  But it will no longer accept a charge after 4 months of use and going flat twice.

Phoned GSF yesterday and they wanted £38 + Vat for an 085.

Instead I bought an 085 from advanced battery supplies - the one that Khare found and offers a 5%  discount for forum members.

£48 & free delivery + 4 yr warranty.

That's ok.

that will be plenty powerful enough, my VR uses an 075 and its fine.
