Title: Standard Exhaust Question
Post by: Holgate End on 06 December 2010, 12:45
Hi All,
I had my car MOT'd this morning and although it passed (PHEW!!), the bloke did say that the exhaust 'is completely fooked'.  It needs a new rear box.  Now my motor is a 1999 1.8T on an AGU engine, and I have seen an exhaust on ebay but the guy said it is off a 2001 1.8T on an AUM engine.  Does anyone know if this will definitely fit onto my car, or not???  Just that someone from VW told me that each engine code has a different inner bore size on the exhaust so I would need one specifically from an AGU.  However, I know that people from VW dont always tell the truth...

Anyone know for sure if this will fit mine?  Thanks a lot in advance.
Cheers!

Straight fit from the CAT back.

Standard exhaust is 2.25 inches or thereabouts.
