Title: How to wash microfibre clothes?
Post by: JDM82 on 05 December 2010, 19:32
Right I have no doubt this question has been asked and answered before therefore I apologise  :undecided: However ive done a search and nothing came back so I thought id ask.

I have a sh!t load of microfibre clothes that Ive used and just bought some more. I didnt the know the correct way to wash them so I just bought more but enough is enough id like to wash them. What do I use and at what temp? Is there a solution you can buy to wash them in to keep them soft etc etc.

Cloth should have a label on it indicating temp it should be washed at. I stick them in the washing machine at that temp, with no fabric softeners.

i just wash mine on 30 degress for half hour with a detergant tablet.. most people recommend liquid tablets tho as the detergent doesnt stay in the fibres.. ive had no problems..

I usually add some vinegar to the drum as it helps shift some of the more stubborn stains.

Cheers Katy I wouldn't have thought it would have made a difference but Ive been wrong with things like this before and known my luck it would have ruined the cloths or something

I have washed my batch of microfibres as stated and now they seem to leave fluff on the car when cleaning, didn't happen before I washed them. Have I done something wrong? 40Deg Liquid detergent.

Dont know what brand, just cheapo ones, I just hung them out to dry afterwards.

Probably just cos there cheap. Used some others since from the same wash and they are fine.

Thinking its maybe the surface of the car + being so cold.

you cant beat brand new microfibres

a problem i find, is that no matter how well and detailed i wash the car, when it comes to drying, i seem to still drag up dirt and stain the towel with what seems like oil

just asking the ball and chain what shes uses when washing my cleaning stuff, its non bio at 40 degrees
