Title: How do?
Post by: BobbyT on 11 February 2005, 20:16
Hi, my name is Rob and i am new to the vw world! My previous cars have all been Vauxhall!
But i am now a VW convert, i own a black mk1 gti!
Well it did start off as a 1.3 but it has had a Scirocco 1.8i engine fitted. It is now up to full gti spec (inside) but also has the clipper kit fitted! It has mk2 front disks and calipers (still not too hot mind), full s/s exhaust and is off to Demon Tweeks tomorrow to be lowered! Getting some Ronal Turbos next week but not sure if the bloody off set will be ok! ET28. If anyone can tell me if i will have any props with that off set please let me know! Well got some big plans for the car, just hope me wallet will stretch! cheers!!

Very true, but i have just bought the car and all the work was done by a previouse owner. I am getting it lowered and getting some alloys myself but the rest has been done! (thank god). does seem like a lot of work to do to a 1.3 but i cant complain as it looks pritty sweet and is quite rapid! will try and get some photos up next week! Rob

I used to serve on a couple along the M4 corridor, and have been on a few near Oxford for courses. Up at Kinloss now though, so have the advantage of some fantastic roads to thrash on. I'm from Gloucester originally, and my family still live there, so I get back down there on occasion. I'll have to look out next time.
What trade/branch are you?
