Have bought some a / b / c pillars for my mk4 golf and want to cover them in a black suede style material.. two questions..
- what glue to use ??
- what material to use as i no it has to be plastic backed so glue doesn't seep through ??
Cheers guys..
-
alright m8 itried spray dye and no go so looks like i'm gonna retrim aswell i was told spray adhesive or carpet glue but think that a paint brush job not sure which best option though as never seen the consistancy. where u get your material from? u going for anni dark interior?
-
I'm thinking brush on glue as well..
I haven't got material yet was hoping for suggestions
-
if you buy a high temp spray adhesive it'll work and wont require the material to be plastic backed as it wont seep through. If you use brush on it'll definitely seep through and you'll use loads as it absorbs.

joe is there a fabric you recommend for anni style ??
-
yeah but wouldn't know where you (personally) would get it from. I buy it in 10+ meter rolls but its the same as you're current headliner, but black. I could supply you with the material and the glue if you dont have any luck getting it anywhere else.
Or if being proper lazy, I'll do it all for you!
-
lol i am lazy but want a attempt at covering them..
how much would the material be delivered enough to cover the bits ??
all a b and c pillars..
-
3 or 5 door? C-pillars can be a pain due to that compound curve where it meets the window on a 3 door. I'll pm you details.
-
god knows i just bought the trim bits lol didn't know they were different
-
yeah the b and c pillars are different due to one having a rear window and the other having a rear door!
-
yer they 5 door ones..
-
Easier C pillars then. Bonus!

wo hoo cant wait for material now lol
