can these be used anywhere on a MK3 golf??

where? as i have found some in my draw at home and it's a bit dark to be looking around the car for where they fit ;)

Sidelights but i believe they flash fasterrrrr, need resistors in them or something blah blahh..

It's a good job that your sidelights don't flash then  :wink: :laugh:

where? as i have found some in my draw at home and it's a bit dark to be looking around the car for where they fit ;)

Apoligies for my less than useful first post! As Danny said you can use them in your sidelights (i'm using them at the moment without any issues), I believe that they will also fit in you rear number plate lights  :smiley:

rear plate bulbs are the thin push in types (dont know proper name) not bayonets like the ones linked. only know as I had to recently change mine for MOT :)

Those look like they push, twist and lock in whereas on my 96 16v I've just replaced the rear number plate bulbs to LEDs using 501 W5W. They just push in. Maybe some Golfs are different? Best thing to check whats on your car.

Yup, your both right, the bayonet ones won't fit! I just didn't look at the pic properly and thought that they were 501's!  :embarassed:

I'm now going to shut up and stop posting in this thread!  :grin:

:D we both failed here, i was thinking they where side repeaters not sidelights :lipsrsealed: just saw the LED's and posted.. im too tired from all this been off work business ;)
