I bought one off ebay for my car, was about £25 - £30 inc postage, brand new . I will be fitting it as soon as my gti comes back from the bodyshop, which will hopefully be tomorrow :undecided:.
They are also listed as 'VR6 chin spoiler, well thats what I typed i anyway .
-

How much difference - some pics please

can't decide if it looks that much better to justify doing it..
-
It really is worth it. Looks a load better in the flesh. Its deeper all round rather than the normal one being narrower at the sides. DO IT!
-
That's not a spoiler, it has no areodynamic value what so ever!
It's a cosmetic spliter.
-
get a grip ipap the name of the front bumper black plastic bottom bit has several different names i.e spoiler, splitter, trim and i'm sure a hell of alot of other names no one is picking hairs and who cares what it's called it might be cosmetic but i can assure you i didnt do it because it increased the mpg or bhp or anything else for that matter as far as i'm concerned it looks better than the original
and the makers and suppliers called it a VW Golf Mk3 GTI VR6 Front Lower Deep Euro Lip Spoiler
oh and don't be offended just getting down from my work buzz lol
-
nicely put. similarly, i cant say mine was put on for any practical reason, just coz it looks better imo.
-
I got two new front wings but the car didn't fly any better.
-
thats a suprise splinter
You sure you fitted them right?
-
man your up early
-
been at work since seven m8! some wanksters decided that playin golf at rediculous o'clock was a good idea!?!
I can assure you its not!
What got u up so early?
-
fell asleep on the settee last night, woke up at six this morning with a broken back and fractured knees
sleep on the settee = don't do it
-
Thanks, a good piece of advice there.
-
Well burger me, while reading your thread I just realised that my mota has the deep-chin spoiler on it. Had seen them on e-bay bit didnt think much of it. Tidy!
Just goes to show how observant I am eh.
-
D'oh!
Was it easy to fit ?
Cheers
Andy
-
mine wasnt, should just clip in where the old one comes off but the clips on the underside of my bumper had broken so had to screw it in. Still only a 15/20 minute job tho!
