Title: Hi from Birmingham!!!!!
Post by: killakam78 on 01 December 2010, 08:52
Hi Guys

I am now the proud owner of a 2.0 GTi! I have just got rid of an Audi A4 2.5 v6 for the car of my dreams, to be fair though its turned out to be a nightmare, saw it in a salvage yard on the auto trader as a running car! Got it back home and it started missing then it conked out all together! I have had some valuable advice from you guys already and as i said before, i am as good with cars as i am with speaking chinese so im sure you will get to know me very quickly!

yeah have tested it with the electrical doofer and it lights up so from the plug so i assume there is no power running through it,

i got all dash lights but no spark it clicked a few times and then nothing.......

cheers mate,

i checked it with the tester directly into what i believe is the ignition feed and i got lights on the tester, so my old man was saying that the must not be power getting to the starter, when all this happened the car clicked a few times and i just had dash lights so i reckon it will be that
