Right got my v6 4 mo 2000 about 6 weeks ago and brought it offa flee bay on a impulse buy!!!!!!(yeah i know what you are all thinking!)
I have had a knocking noise coming from the front suspension since getting it home and have replaced - Top shocker mounts (upgraded ones) Anti roll bar links (genuine), the n/s track rod and conecting arm to the steering rack replaced (genuine), its had both the lower wishbones replaced by previous owner! I am running outa things to replace???????
The knocking noise seems to come from the n/s/f of the car ONLY when going 20mph on really bumpy roads????
But when driving normaly it fine no knocks or any thing????
COULD IT BE THE NS DRIVESHAFT CAUSE THATS ALL THAS LEFT TO REPLACE!!!?????
Many thanks boys and gals

engine mount? dogbone mount? is it lowered? more than 40mm and sometimes driftshaft knocks

If you only did the ARB drop links it could still be worn ARB bushes, the ones that attach it to the subframe.

My golf has the same problem had it in the garage the other day and mine is just badly worn bushes on my front roll bar (I think that's what he called it :/ I'm not very mechanicy) Maybe try replacing them?
