Title: vag - com socket -- do I have one ?

will my mk3 GTI  1993   have a socket for this ?

if so where is it  / when I plug in what will it tell me ?

the socket is to the left of the cig lighter i think,its on the very left anyway and cover just unclips. ive just got a vag-com and cant get it to work,all a bit complicated for me lol

on a 93 its behind one of the dash blanks, its the older 2x2 type plug and you'll need to buy an adaptor to use it on most of the vag-com cables tyou can get. you can buy them with the 2x2 adaptor included if you shop around :)

you can read fault codes, and check the ecu measuring blocks to see what ecu temp sensor, inlet temp sensor, thhrottle position etc amongst other things.
