all these other codes mean
00530 butterfly valve placing he/potentiometers -G88 - can also be throttle posistion sensor
00518 butterfly valve potentiometers -G69
01087 basic adjustment not accomplished

basically short story is, cleaned the throttle body, and the motor siezed up on the back so the engine ideled for 30 seconds when started up then revs would build up to 2 thousand and 3 thousand and stay inbetween theses two amounds dropping then going back up again, i knew this was broke as the butterfly valve was jammed open by the motor, when unplugging the cable ontop of the throttle body it would idel correctly.
so i buy one of ebay!
fit this new throttle body today and got these error codes
00530 butterfly valve placing he/potentiometers -G88
00518 butterfly valve potentiometers -G69
01087 basic adjustment not accomplished
fitted the new throttle body and put everything back together with the new throttle body, started it after a few
false starts to build up the pressure in the fuel line, and started perfectly after about 10 mins of running same
thing again revs automaticall build up to between 2000 and 3000 and drops and builds up again, if i disconnect
the cable on the top of the throttle body the engine dies as the ecu thinks there is no engine and stops fueling the
engine, so that is difrrent to the last one but the revs keep building up without me pressing the pedal
it has been 2 weeks know and im rather pissed off with it, anyone got any idea please!
-
any help would be greatly appreciated wanna get her back on the road!

Have you checked all the vacuum hoses?
-
yh fine mate, i just got told by a golf nutter in my college to check the idle stabalisation valve apparently when they get all sooty the resistance is buggerd so it keep reving then engine
-
Im sure you need to go into Vag-com>Basic settings and do a throttle adaptation once you have played with it?
-
yh but the lite version dont let you do that and its 99 dollas for the lisence for the bloody thing
-
Check your pm's dude
