Title: Has anyone used 235 instead of 225 wide tyres on the standard 17" rims
Post by: dp71 on 30 November 2010, 13:17
and if so did they make a difference, good or bad?

I have the chance to get either size although the 235's are less costly so I am curious.

Thanks

did a wee bit of research across various gti forums , advice seems to be stick with 225 , s . for all sorts of reasons , theres not alot of room to play with on a mk 5 so there may be clearance issues , so then u may have to look at offsets to run wider tyres which may lead to clearance issues , stick with 225 its less hassle
