Title: mk3 GTI steering rack help please!!

OK,my mate needs a rack fitting to his 94 16v GTI as its leeking from inside one of the trackrod boots.I believe there is 2x different types,apparently changed over in 94,there is a 20 spline rack and a 22 spline rack,how do i know which one i need for this car as its still fitted,could i just get any mk3 item if it comes complete with the UJ and fit it?Also if u have one for sale it would help,thanks!

I believe all GTI and VR6's are the same only the smaller engines are different.

I have one from a 94 GTI 16v sitting here and should be able to include the UJ at no extra cost just incase it's needed
