I've got a U281 and (recently) a ScanGaugeII .. http://www.ukobd.co.uk/Hand-held-Tools/ScanGauge2.html - a very nice toy!

If you're in Mancs, I can help you out.

my u280 arrived yesterday, the car had 2 codes. One code was in the booklet, the other i had to do a bit of research on. Basically my car runs a little rich which i knew cos I'd recently checked the spark plugs and they were a little dark. I am assuming that this has caused a sensor around the cat to get a little sooty and throw the engine management light on. I cant remember the codes that came up ill have to read the car again. The one that I had to do some research on said something like O2 sensor bank 1 after cat.
