:undecided:
well today ive been driving my little 1.4aex about, checking oil periodically, no contamication of water, not loosing water anymore but filler cap on rocker is gammy with snotwiteroil
Wtf?!
-
is it normal for the AEX in these conditions to condensate under the rocker cover? i treat it well, it gets warmed up (not a pepetouch on the throttle ever) slowly in mornings and allowed to idle after a run, and it dont get ragged...
-
what happened to all the emulsified oil from before?
-
he smeared it on his sandwiches
-
yummy
-
ran it up and rechcked sump, ... clean, under the cap emulsified to hell, cleaned off and it is now still clean ish, still getting emulisified oil in dibs and drabs... but no overheating, water level same, runs fine (for a 1.4) im totally stumped.
i figure f**k it ill run it till it blows up...
-
so little black bits in water this morning . . . . rough running, more emulsified oil in cap but no where else. .... redweld?
-
if its only doing short journeys then you will get a bit of mayo on the cap and in the breathers. if it had oil in the water you would know about it as header tank would be full of nasty mayo crap. black bits just sound like a bit of dirt or corrosion in the coolant which is to be expected if its not have a proper flush for a while.
