can some1 please help me :(
i may have put my mk3 golf gti in a ditch lol
every things sorted bar the gear selctor rod and it wont start now
first off
could any1 put up a pic of wat a gear selctor rod( long one from the bottem of the stick to the linkage) should look like cause
i dont know if mine is bent or just ment to have slight curves or what but
after the crash neutral is up in where 5th is and you can pull it right across
i thought its was just casue i burst the power stearing rack but the new ones on and thats not it still there
and it started after the crash a few time managed to drive its 500ft up the road so it was out the way,
then we went to move it few days later wouldnt start, looks like some ass drained the tank cause there was nothing left
but dnt notice this till well tryed starting it a few times
aint broken any fuel lines cause i put petrol in it and then no drips anywhere and still wont start now
so have i trigerd the full cut of switch buy it bening empty?
any hints or tips would be ace
been with out my baby for a month now :(

have a read of the mk2 linkage repair guide, in mk2 + maintenance section. what i recon is the bracket on the end of the shifter rod has moved, you need to loosen a pinch bolt then move it back. the linkage isn't 100% the same on a mk3 but its close enough for you to get an idea from my pics
