Title: Leaving The VW fold!
Post by: mikereynolds on 10 February 2005, 12:26
Am thinking about putting the Golf up for sale to aid the purchase of something newer and a bit more hard core! Have been toying with the idea for a while and have decided that there is no time like the present!
Its going in the bodyshop in a few weeks to have a bit of bodywork sorted out then will be putting it in the for sale section!
Its been a great car to own and have had loads of fun modifying it to how I wanted it, just hope someone else likes the look!!

Disgraceful idea

Are you going to admit to what you are replacing it with then?

It's a very nice mk2, I am sure you will easily sell it

My mate has a Honda Integra Type R.............

.............. engine in his Rover Mini. Goes like bloody stink and is indestructable! He once drove it from Oldham to Castle combe and wondered why it sounded a bit rattley. It took 7 litres of oil till it even registered on the dipstick, but yet it's still going strong (240bhp in a car that wieghs less than 650kg)!!!!!!!

Ahh, the '.' should have been there, so should the '5', but there should have been a '3' in front of the '.' too

And it goes back in again on Friday  I just wanna DRIVE it!

As much as it pains me to say it, that figure is correct.

Only thing is, that amount doesn't include the new Clifford alarm (?500) and the latest garage trip (its being collected tomorrow). Lord alone knows how much this will cost..... Surprise surprise (it being an italian car) it has some electrical 'issues'.

Well mine is displaying the fantastic symptom of switching all interior lights (including door markers and puddle lights) when you lock the door. And they stay on until you unlock it

So, you have one of two crap choices. Leave your car unlocked, or lock it and return to flat battery.

Quality.

italians build beautiful looking fast machines, but its a shame they cant make them reliable. it wouldnt be hard though, they just need to lose the monkeys and get proper auto electricians.
