Title: Re-Laquer R32 Dash Trim
Post by: Hulmie on 26 November 2010, 22:18
Got a mk4 r32 dash trim set, brushed ally. Some of the laquer has chipped off and some nasty glue left from where stickers had been stuck to the trim.

I want to flat it back to bare ally and re-laquer, but want to know what best grit paper to flat back with to ensure the finish is like the original finish.

help appreciated

just start on harsh grit to remove dried old lacquer and just get finer till it looks like OEM
