Hey guys, right i got myself a bargain tonight. Got some Bora Vents from a guy i met at a VW meet monday night. I got these at £25. Been waiting 2 months now for VW to get back to me as i'd been waiting on the drivers side vent to complete the set they have waiting for me so now ive got these im over the moon as i sold the last set i had.
The question is though.. Is this a LOOM that ya need for the Illumination on the vents that is on them? If so then great i guess it means its just a plug and go yeah? Let me know guys.

ull need to make a loom to fit the three vents and also ull need to earth and connect it to the dimmer switch theres a guide on here on how to do it costs around 12 quid to make

Damn, I thought i was lucky here having more than just wires lol. I am honestly clueless when it comes to Electrics etc. Joiners arent meant to play with wires Haha.
-
You can make your own or there are a few on ebay for £20 IIRC OR there is a member on here that can make them up for you.
You will have to take you under dash apart to fit them in and thread the wire from your light swich all the way to the other side of the car. Its a little involved but make for a nicer place come darknes .
When i did mine i went to a brakers and found a simler loom in a Audi A4 and addapted it for me. When i was there i also made up some foot well lights also

see i see this as too much work not needed haha. I was going for look with he vents lol. Does anyone know if i need the frames that go in first in order for these bora vents to fit? ive ordered them from VW, all in at under £5 so all good. However do u actually need them?
-
no mate theres holes in the two side vents for the screws and the centre fits snugg as a bug just plug them in u do have to take apart ur glove box and steering coloum plastics off but its a doddle takes half hour todo and is so worth it
-
MyFirstVw: I owe u one haha, a lot of folk had told me they dont fit unless u get the frames/cages however after ur view on the matter i decided to go and try! and magic .. they fit haha. Looks much better.

Ive fitted them but havent bothered with the loom at the moment, maybe do that in the summer when its nice and warm and can do it without having to blast the heaters on while stripping bits out car to get em plugged in hahaha.

defo mate, I keep sacking off doing the door module as it's too bloody cold
-
Tell me about it! We got a blizzard non stop here since friday night, theres about 9 inches of snow in my back garden lol. Good enough reason for me not to bother with the car today :P
-
the Solent seems to stop the snow getting over here most of the time, apart from last year that is
-

-
no probs mate if u want i cud always ask my dad if he'll make u a loom? he made mine for me
-
Well that wud be good of him, i wont be in any hurry the now mate with the weather being a c*nt so maybe in the new year he could do yeah.
