I got a strange like ringing metal against metal noise at about 2000-2500 rpm. It only does it when in gear and driving, it doesn't do it if i sit and rev the engine in neutral. Any ideas? cheers.

Clutch slip?, Gear box oil?
Youre fillings grinding together in rage after being stuck behind yet another bloody summer season caravan!?

Nice one :D I changed the clutch last year myself ;) Gearbox oil is fine. Modulator thinks it might be a problem with the exhaust as some of it might have been done by kwik fit(by the previous owner), its not a genuine one >:(

It is the exhaust, Its burbling more now than it used to and the noise open happens in gear when the engines hot, so your slightly moving the engine when accelerating under load. Probably a knackered join on a silencer box flexing.
Also I'm no expert but a BOSAI exhaust aint no original fit my son.
Kwit Fit = sh!t fit

It could be Honest John trying to get of your boot after you've kidnapped him for being a fudge packer.
