Title: Pad cleaning question

Do I have to wait till my pads are totally dry before i use them again or can I say wash them out, spin them then start back working on the car when there damp if you know what i mean.

no, wash them after each use, take them off the backing plate and stick it under a running tap or a clean bucket of water and sqeeze it through a few times till the water runs clear then put some fairy liquid on the pad and squeeze that through the pad and rinse out using same process till the water runs clear, when your completely sure its clean squeeze all remaining water out and leave to dry naturally.

Thanks for the reply. Going to do a mk2 golf over the w'end and was wanting to know that before I start.

if my pads get clogged while on the job I will rinse them out and get rid of all the crud... then spin them on the rotary until no more water is being ejected

its a nice bit of kit but not really worth the spend out as its easier to take the pad off rinse through and as guy said if it gets glogged during a job wash out crap,squeeze excess water out then put it back on the machine and turn it up full blast holding it on its side.
