Title: Mk2 advice on hub adaptors
Post by: irish201 on 25 November 2010, 20:56
Hi guys i want to put my vr6 bbs alloys on my Mk2 gti big bumper over the winter so i need to buy some hub adaptors. I know that i need 4x100 to 5x100 stud fitment and i know that they need to have a 57.1 bore, but i dont know if I need the adaptors to be 20mm, 25mm or 30mm thick.
Any help would be great!

20mm should be ok but you might get rubbing issues.

With the cost of adaptors you might be better finding another set of winter wheels.

Yeh thats what im worried about so I was thinking Id go for the 25 or 30mm adaptors just not sure which ones. Iv got the wheels with good tyres on from an old car so its only like im paying the £140 for new wheels and tyres basically. Plus its a good thing to have if any 5x100 wheels that I like come up at the right price.

you will deffo have rubbing issues.

5x100 conversion will just complicate things and up the total spend.

speak to my mate J. He makes adaptors and could help you. 078888 31836
