Title: hello..and a few questions !

Hi all, l

As of yesterday I am the proud owner of a 1989 mark 2 16v yesterday :smiley:, got the train down to cumbria to get it and drove it back, on the test drive I thought there were a few things that needed doing but the fella let it go cheap so I took the risk......

not being the mechacnically minded type I am looking for a good garage in Edinburgh to take it to sort it, any recomendations would be much appreciated !

any advice on what might be wrong with the following would also be appreciated from owners who have had experince would be much appreciate

1/ The engine idles really lumpery and too low, even when warm, almost to point of cutting out.
2/ the power steering pulls fine to the right but not to the left,
