Title: GTi engine management light on low power

Hey people just been driving and my car started to realy splutter you no what i mean lol and then on came the engine management light flashing away. im going to have my mate plug it in tomoz with snap on computer but was wondering if you have any idea of what it could be. thanks in advance.
