hi guys im looking at some new wheels for my mk2 8v, its been lowered on 40mm springs, currently has 17" alloys on but not sure spec.
Im looking at some Borbet A
7.5x16" or 9x16" or 8x15"
Possible i might go for ATS cups, but im not sure on clearance
They come with choice of Tyres for the 16" (not looked at tyres for the 15" as still early stages)
195x45x16
205x55x16
225x55x16
Can anyone point me in right direction of best size alloys and tyre package to fit a mk2
thanks guys

sorry i meant what size will fit without having to role arches or mod the car to much

15" or 16" is a good all round choice, stick to a 30 / 35 offset and you should be fine.

+++1 on what wayne has said but are you looking for abit of a stretch look??? You will get a little bit of that from 195/45/16. I would also go for 8" wide as this is a good alrounder.

17.5's with 195.45.16 tyre (http://i716.photobucket.com/albums/ww170/golfgti_photos/DSC04912.jpg)
Dont know the offsets sorry. They just about tuck in the arches and no rubbing. very slightly rolled arches.
8x15'' is nice too but i would stay clear of anything in the 9 range.
