Got a black mk4 1.8T AGU (72k on clock FSH), just wanted to know what the price would be modded vs un-modded as I will be selling up soon.
Current mods:
R-tech remap stage 1 (195bhp, 210lb)
Pan-cake by-pass
Uprated TIP (Blue)
4 FBR
CAI Induction kit
All vacuum silicone replaced (Blue)
Forge 007p DV
Front goodridge brake hoses
Rear goodridge brake hoses with copper lines
Dogbone uprated (powerflex)
Jamex coilovers (600miles only)
Mintex discs and pads (need replacing)
14lb flywheel with vr6 clutch (600miles only)
about 6 months ago had, uprated brake fluid, new gearbox oil and oil change.
Mot 5months
Tax 9months
2 owners
No air-con
Recaro seats (fabric black and silver)
Double din head unit with GPS+Ipod connection
Whats it worth modded and unmodded, to see if its worth getting put close to oem or not?

Put it back to standard as much as possible and sell on the parts
The mileage will help you sell this car

Two parts I have not got are DV and standard bush, with coilovers I was tempted to leave and just raise, same with the clutch/flywheel. What do you think, just need to see what the price difference is to see if its worthwile or not to put effort in, silicone split so I would need to re-order new silicone and breather pipe as I used harcore coupling silicone when I redone the breather system in blue and had a catch can.
Also VW headunit is gone as slowly the buttons stopped working, but I only paid £200 for the currrent headunit.
Any more feedback is appreciated

Yes i agree with you
Yeah unless you find someone who wants a modded mk4 you will struggle to sell it TBH.
You wont get anything back for the mods.
Remember most people want a standard car thats not been messed with

Putting a car back to standard before selling makes it easier to sell as some people want one that has not bee touched,
My experience with the 4 motion I bought last week is a good example
-
you could always swap your coilovers for my standard gti suspension
-
man i would buy one modded it saves you money
-
what reg is it ?
-
Is aircon not standard on a 1.8t then :undecided:
Put it back to standard.

Modded cars always seem to come with the 'they have been ragged to s**t' stigma, even if just owned by enthusiast.

Thanks for the head ups, but on a serious note
What is it worth selling it modded and stock? Prices people
-
Well i would say that the prices for modded and standard will be pretty much the same, perhaps slightly more as standard? So all you have to do is look on auto trader / piston heads for similar examples and take note.

Not at all, if the mods are proper and the best money can buy then they add value. If their crap chavvy eyesores their worth nothing. Standard mk4s aren't going for much, some as little as £1500. If I sell mine I'm gonna put it up for £3800 and take £3500. To be fair that covers the mods and will lose a lot but seems realistic. If it was standard again I'd put it up for £1900 and take £1750 and make back selling the mods separate but you've gotta factor in waiting to sell everything and the time and sadness putting it back again
